Mick Jagger demanded that Maroon 5 edit their original video of the song “Moves Like Jagger”; he felt there were too many shots of him in it. He told the British newspaper The Times, "'Moves Like Jagger' is catchy. I can sing it for you if you want, but I'll spare you that. I know the band, I know Christina [Aguilera] and I know the director. As soon as he sent me the video, I sent it right back. There was way too much of me. I was going ‘what about the rest of your band?’ So I cut out at least half of it.” 
Sir Mick also admits he rejected an invitation to perform the song live with Maroon 5. He says, “They asked me to do it onstage with them! I don’t think I’m going to be there.” Would you expect any less from the once and future Midnight Rambler?
