There are a wealth of excellent bands producing music these days. Some of it is in the more popular punk pop style, while much is in the pop genre, as it's always been. But there are a fair amount of bands that nod to the past era of music, many who would be just as popular as their influences had been if only they were around during the Golden Age of Rock and Roll ('60s, '70s, '80s). One such band is Black Mountain.
Black Mountain hails from Vancouver. Their five members have been making excellent albums since their eponymous Black Mountain debut released in 2005, and reissued as a remastered Deluxe Edition in 2015. They returned with In The Future (2008), and their last, Wilderness Heart, in 2010. But that was six years ago. Thankfully, that drought ends on April 1 when Black Mountain will release IV.
IV will provide ten new tracks (see below), and will be supported with an extensive 44-date tour (you can buy tickets here).
