Neon Indian Seeks Polish Girl

By , Editor
Digging on the video for Neon Indian's chill-pop "Polish Girl" (you know, the cute kind), directed by Tim Nackashi via The Creators Project.

It's the future, dystopian of course, and automatons scan humanoid bodies and minds. One scanner breaks free and seeks a scannee, specifically a Polish girl, with whom he fell head-over-digits. Blade Runner ensues, interspersed with NI leader Alan Palomo "performing" the song.

Explains Nackashi, “When I first heard 'Polish Girl,' it immediately called to mind images of someone traveling through their own thoughts and memories as if they were floating in some kind of physical, digital space, or of someone trying to reach out through screens and across wires to be close with someone else," or whatever.

Neon Indian will be performing "Polish Girl" on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tomorrow, Wednesday night, with band members triggering clips from the video live.

The band's new album Era Extrana is out this week and Palomo is DJing an in-store at Other Music in NYC, RIGHT NOW until 8 PM. Neon Indian's tour with Purity Ring and Com Truise embarks this week as well.
